​'Re-visited' exhibition:

For the last decade local artists, Jane Ellis and I have been painting and exhibiting together at Birdwood House gallery. We have enjoyed sketching and painting in a variety of mediums as we respond to the local landscapes and seascapes we are lucky enough to be surrounded by. We both work plein air; outdoors in the landscape, and in our home studios.

 

Now we are taking a moment to slow down and revisit some of our earlier work. Always noticing the thread that is individually each of us at the heart of our work. Both of us finding it interesting to see the meandering path that our art practises have followed. Reflecting on the nature of development and change that accompanies our lives has required slowing down and letting go. This pause, a breather if you like, allows space for the gestation of new work to occur, inviting us to open to new directions and inspirations, stimulating and enlivening us, as we move forward. New work is also included.
